This page explains what Packetyar keeps about you, why, and who can see it.
What we store
- Account: email, display name and password. The password is stored hashed; nobody, including the site's admins, can read it.
- Profile (optional): avatar, bio, city, experience level, daily goal and exam date.
- Learning progress: your answers, finished lessons, XP, review cards, exams, saved items and notes, and the problem reports you send.
- Study time: only the total minutes you were active in lessons, review, exams or flashcards each day; not what you did on the page.
- Daily reminder (optional): if you turn it on, the address your browser gives for notifications and the hour you chose are stored. Turn reminders off and none are sent.
Why
Only to make the site work: resuming where you left off, timely reviews, the readiness score and suggested next steps. When email is enabled, your address is used only for password resets, account confirmation and reminders you turned on.
Who sees it
- Weekly league: if you join, your group sees your display name, avatar and weekly XP. Your email is never shown. You can leave the league at any time.
- Site admins can see account data for support and to handle reports.
- We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. The site has no third-party tracking or ad scripts.
Cookies and browser storage
- Two cookies keep you signed in (server-only, HttpOnly)
- One cookie remembers your current course
- A few small preferences in browser storage, such as sound on or off
Deleting your data
To get a copy of your account data or have it deleted, ask through the contact page.
